Many people ask how a city boy from New York City got involved with Real Estate in Southern California,
and I'll be honest with you... I never would have thought things would pan out the way they did.
I was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. When I turned 21, I knew it was time to change something about my life - I decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. You see, I grew up shallow-minded and not truly understanding the world outside of my "niche" neighborhood. I was never truly exposed to the possibilities of life beyond the city I'd grown to love. I was present for the dreadful day that changed everyone's lives in one way or another. Tuesday, September 11th, 2001 shaped the rest of my life and I had no idea it was happening. After completing United States Marine Corps recruit training in December of 2004, I proceeded to my 1st duty station aboard Camp Pendleton, CA.
You see where this is headed yet? City boy comes to California and never leaves.
I served 3 tours of duty overseas, 2 in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan, and I thank God everyday for allowing me the chance to serve with some of the finest men and women this world has ever seen. I married my wonderful wife, Liz, in 2009 and went on to have 3 amazing children, Anthony, Lorenzo and Liliana. Fallbrook is now my home and I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm an implant in this beautiful town, but that's what makes it so special. I cherish it for being all I didn't experience growing up in New York. It's a small town with a big heart and everybody knows each other. Every person in this town is always here to help and you don't have to look far for assistance.
After my service in the Marine Corps, I sold my home which I purchased in 2009. I hadn't realized it at the time, but I was "flipping" my own house - I thought I was just making it more livable. This led me to my life as an investor. I was fortunate to meet an extremely successful and savvy investment team known as Jameson Investments. They introduced me to other investors and one thing led to another. Before I knew it, I was flipping houses continuously and haven't stopped since.
When I ended my military service in 2012, I took an hourly paid job which I quickly excelled at. I became management within the year and continued progressing over the next 4 years. At the same time, my life was consumed with real estate and I found myself feeling a void.
I wasn't happy in my career and knew something better was out there for me. I decided to reach out to my old buddies, Jameson Investments, for some advice. The thing is, Jameson Investments was no longer Jameson Investments. They had matured into a phenomenal full service real estate team called Kim Steel and Associates - I had watched them excel and succeed in an impressively short amount of time. I knew I had what it would take to become part of that team.
In December of 2016 I decided it was time to make a change. I had already spoken to Kim Steel and Associates about becoming a member of their intern program and in January of 2017... I made the jump. I became a Licensed Realtor in May of 2017 and ever since then LIFE HAS BEEN AMAZING! I learn something new everyday, I've built priceless bonds and relationships with my teammates, and I've become infinitely more confident in my abilities overall. Since becoming an agent in May of 2017, I have reached every goal I have set out to reach.
I am a successful, knowledgeable realtor in a very competitive market,
I have closed deals on both the buyer and seller sides,
I have continued my investment career,
and I have earned the most important thing there is
more time with my family.
This is not a story to boast my accomplishments or to make myself look better than I really am.
This is a story to explain to you who I am and what matters to me.
Life, Family, Happiness, Faith, Education and helping others reach their goals matters to me.
Let me know how I can help you!
